Southeast Media Group, Inc., is a full-service advertising agency and has been in business for more than 25 years. The SMG business model for the first 10 years was a very traditional agency specializing in retail media and high traffic consumer-oriented clients. Today, and for the last 15 years, we have specialized in branding and strategy and have intentionally cut the size of our operation to focus on strategy and branding to ensure the highest level of client service. Our client and project limits are those of a small and very specialized company. Although our focus is on image development and branding, we provide cost-efficient growth and product/brand launch strategies. Knowing the value of research and planning, we develop profound and very deliberate marketing strategies designed to take full advantage of our years of experience and relationships. SMG has provided branding strategies for over 200 companies over the years, and have architected a strong framework designed to support and drive significant growth and profitability. As a full-service advertising agency, Southeast Media Group provides our clients with all related services to bring our strategy from planning to implementation. Our services include: TV and video production; graphic design; web design; public relations, media strategy and consulting. We also have divisions for Sales consulting and manufacturing services.

Southeast Media Group Education Division (R4 Initiative)
From a simple rebranding of a single private school, our Founder, Michael Wargo, immediately revealed two undeniable and very broad voids in the private school markets. Marketing was very weak and parochial in their approach to earning new students and winning them from competing schools. Knowing a sophisticated approach would easily dominate the rather unsophisticated competition; sound marketing and branding would be invaluable and even life-saving to struggling institutions all over the country. Conversely, the conspicuous lack of any branded organized programs for incorporating life skills, personal integrity and other moral/ethical programs into the curriculum was another enormous void nationwide. Our solution is the R4 Initiative. We are very proud to offer a way for private schools to increase enrollment and offer students a more well-rounded and complete education. Success in life is directly tied to work ethic, integrity and sound leadership qualities. Every promotion, advancement and life choice both professionally and personally is more intrinsically tied to these qualities than to academics. Every student from an R4 School will graduate a more well adjusted, civic-minded and well-prepared adult than with any other school. We all understand that most profound values should be taught at home, but an R4 school promises to embellish and support these in a way that is certain to become vital to each and every student and adequately prepare them for life.

Michael formed Southeast Media Group, Inc. (formerly Wargo Advertising) more than 25 years ago. He wanted to build an agency with a fresh new approach toward the client/agency relationship. He applied his methodology involving a research-oriented foundation, and a hard-work-with-no-shortcuts philosophy. This resulted in an incredible track record of satisfied clients and successes in more than 40 industries. His relationship-oriented mentality could not exist without radical change in the way traditional agencies do business. As a result, Southeast Media Group puts client before profit, and hard work before creativity begins. Because Michael is committed to strong personal connection with his clients, Southeast Media Group will always remain a relatively small company with close relationships a primary focus. Service at this level requires limiting the number of clients to ensure the attention each and every client requires is always as they deserve… without exception.
In the year 2000 through present day, Michael Wargo has been playing professional golf. Although he never competed with anything more than conditional status, his competing on tour and heavy involvement with several golf companies led to a very successful and sustained commitment to marketing golf-related companies. Southeast Media Group has clients in industries ranging from Aviation, aquaculture and healthcare, to snow removal, computer software and baby products. However, the golf market is a special focus, presence and strength of the company.
Michael has also, written a book called, Marketing Strategy: No Shortcuts. It is a comprehensive guide to the methodology and hard-work philosophy that has made him successful in marketing. Additionally, he holds a position as Director of Marketing Analysis with Florida Tech University’s ICCM (Institute for Cross Cultural Management ).
Michael Wargo began his professional career as a concert pianist, and toured the country for more than three years. He soon transitioned into performing exclusively in Jazz, and has performed with many legendary jazz musicians. Soon offers to compose many advertising jingles led him to work with several advertising agencies on national campaigns. This began a love affair with the business of advertising and marketing. Although he continues to perform to this day, his focus turned to building his own company.
Michael Wargo is currently a world-renowned radio controlled aerobatic pilot and demonstration pilot. He is a team pilot for Hobbyking and Precision Aerobatics, and has been Performing in airshows and conducting clinics all over the country to help promote his sponsors and the RC hobby he loves. He has more than 10 sponsors from companies in 6 countries and is also one the leading educators in Remote Controlled Aerobatics.
